Tim Berge: Building Community in Taiwan

🔹Tim Berge, who moved from Minneapolis to Taiwan in 1988, has dedicated his career to serving Taiwan’s international community through International Community Radio Taipei (ICRT). From broadcasting during Typhoon Nari to providing clear COVID-19 updates, Tim sees radio as a way to help others. As a Citizen Liaison Volunteer with AIT, he shares vital information on voting, passports, and emergencies. Tim encourages others to volunteer, emphasizing the positive impact on the community and international ties in Taiwan.

🔹At the end of last year, Taiwan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Chen Ming-Chi and AIT’s Jennifer Steffensen congratulated 12 fellows who completed the GCTF: NGO Fellowship Program in Taiwan. Co-funded by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the program highlights U.S.-Taiwan cooperation to strengthen Indo-Pacific civil society. AIT supports this effort to deepen regional ties and promote stability.
